About

 Jesus 

-We believe that Jesus is the son of God and The Messiah.  Jesus is Lord over our lives.

“The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming.  When he comes, he will explain everything to us.”  Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you-I am he.”  John 4:25-26

“The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.  For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him.  He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” Colossians 1:15-17

Salvation

-We believe that one is saved when they repent of their sin, and are baptized for the forgiveness of their sin.  At this time, they also receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

“Therefore let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah.” When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”  Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness for your sins.  And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”  Acts 2:36-38

Holy Spirit

-We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Advocate, who teaches and convicts us to obey Jesus’ teaching. He is our deposit guaranteeing our sonship into God’s family.

“And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation.  When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession-to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:13-14

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever- the spirit of truth.  The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him.  But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you.”  John 14:16-17

The Church

-We believe the church is God’s family, with Jesus as the head of the household. As part of His family, we are unified through Jesus and the Holy Spirit. 

“Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone.  In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord.  And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit.” Ephesians 2:19-22

Discipling

-We believe in discipling relationships in which we walk closely with one another through life, admonishing and teaching each other using the Word of God, so that we may become mature in Christ.

“He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” Colossians 1:28

The Bible

-We believe that the Bible is from God. It is relevant and useful for our day-to-day lives.

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teach, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2Timothy 3:16-17
